Inspiration | Mother’s Day Picnic
When you think of Mother’s Day celebrations, brunch is generally the first thought that comes to mind. And honestly, the great thing about brunch is that it’s not only tolerable to drink alcohol early in the day, but it’s expected. What’s not to like about that? Some of our clients have the most incredible ideas when it comes to celebrations, and we’re always happy to accommodate in the best way possible. Gathering tons of Mom’s together for a huge Mother’s Day brunch picnic was definitely one of our favorite ideas, and we are delighted to cater such a unique event. Especially when it’s designed to honor the Mother’s that raised you to be amazing human beings!
TABLESCAPES
When envisioning the perfect Mother’s Day brunch celebration, your tablescape is going to set the entire theme. Usually bright colors that resemble spring are involved. Each tabletop is adorned with beautiful flowers that double as a take-home gift for Mom. A picnic provides the opportunity to lay out blankets and pillows on the grass and get comfortable while you enjoy delicious food and cocktails. These adorable outdoor tablescapes are sure to leave an impression on your guests and Mom!

FOOD PRESENTATION
For outdoor events, food presentation is a key factor in the event going smoothly. Typically you’ll want grab-and-go style food that you can wander around with as you chat with the guests. Some of the captivating presentation ideas I came across while venturing Pinterest were pre-packed picnic items that are easily grabbed. These make your picnic experience simple and enjoyable, and these dishes can be eaten on-the-go. I also included one of our very own, charcuterie cups, packaged in convenient cones.

COCKTAIL BARS
The options for a cocktail bar are endless. Put juice, fruit, and alcohol together and you’re guaranteed to create a splendid soiree. What’s so perfect about mimosa bars is it only requires a few ingredients and can be easily transported. You can either set it up on a table, a blanket, or just throw the champagne and juice into an ice bin and call it a day. Nothing says spring like a fruity drink at a Mother’s Day brunch picnic!

CRAFTY ACTIVITIES
We recently set up a gorgeous bridal shower with a make-your-own bouquet activity, and we absolutely adored that idea. It created an interactive experience for the bride and her guests and everyone had a beautiful floral arrangement to take home. Rather than buying Mom flowers at a local grocery store, we can arrange for her to create her own with her favorite colors and textures. Not only does that save you a trip to the store, but is also a dual activity to spend quality time together. (Not to mention, you also get a take-home bouquet!)
