Weddings | Mindy & Tim

We were ecstatic to ring in Mindy & Tim’s happily-ever-after at Red Door No. 5, a refurbished decommissioned fire station that was built in 1925 and was retired in 1986. Located near the gateway to Tampa Heights, the museum-inspired atmosphere of this venue is perfect for those who are going for a sui generis style event. Self-described as a gallery forged through history, creativity, and tasteful design – this venue truly lives up to its reputation! The ambiance of this event space is nostalgic, rich in history, and the iconic design is inspirational.

Wedding at Red Door No. 5 Venue

Being a unique industrial firehouse-turned-venue, Red Door No. 5 is complete with fireman poles from the original architecture. Mindy & Tim’s wedding was our first event there, and we were pleasantly surprised by the layout and design of this truly beautiful venue. Some of the interesting features include a steampunk style motorcycle with a design based on an angler fish, a Marilyn Monroe & JFK abstract portrait, and various antique-themed signs and art pieces. During the event, we set up an exquisite grazing station containing our signature parmesan crab dip, artisan crackers, island of mezze, salumi board, and farmers station. All the while, we quickly transformed the outdoor ceremony seating into the dining area while the bride & groom enjoyed their cocktail party inside the venue.

The lovely brick patio within the firehouse courtyard was a perfect setting for the rustic wooden tables & chairs, and the scene was completed with complimentary blankets with Mindy & Tim’s names and wedding date embroidered into the cozy material. It was a perfect wedding favor for that brisk February night, and went hand-in-hand with hand warmers that were left on each guest’s seat. Wedding guests arrived at their tables to feast on their mixed green salads with artisanal bread, and then made their way to the food stations inside the firehouse. Guests had their preference of multiple stations including specialty pasta, street tacos, and rosemary & garlic crust flank steak.

We were honored to be a part of Mindy & Tim’s big day, and look forward to working with Red Door No. 5 again in the future. We urge you to curate your own piece of history within Red Door No. 5’s  walls, because there’s no doubt it will be a memorable experience in the eclectic & iconic environment it provides.
