The Ballroom at Church Street is downtown Orlando’s most distinguished and trusted venue renowned for its charm, beauty, and elegance – in short, the perfect site for Lindsay and Matt’s wedding.

Navy, white, and marigold hues set the tone for this dazzling wedding. The Ballroom at Church Street was dressed to the nines with chic draping, exquisite lighting, and luxurious seating arrangements all contributing to the liveliness of the night.

From the time they arrived, guests were dazzled with delicious butler passed hors d’oeuvres accompanied by sparkling flutes of champagne. As the night progressed, friends and family enjoyed a dual-entree plated dinner followed by lively music and festivities. The stylish decor and furniture gave the ballroom a truly  unique and vogue ambiance that brought out the best onto the dance floor! Relishing through out the evening, guests couldn’t resist the all-American late night snacks including mini pies a la mode and of course their smooth, white three-tier wedding cake with berry filling.

Lindsay and Matt’s special day was filled with glamor and extravagance from their grand entrance to their stylish exit, it truly was a night to remember forever.

Lights, entertainment, and action! MD 20/20 was a celebration like none other that filled the Puff ‘n Stuff Catering Commissary with gold and white glamour. For this elegant birthday party, our team transformed a large commercial kitchen into an elaborate, private chef’s dining experience for 60, and decked out a quiet storage space into a vivacious nightclub for this star-studded event.

Starting off with floor-to-ceiling draping and adding in exquisite elements such as elegant Chiavari chairs and lounge furniture, gorgeous crystal candle sticks and table accents, all the way down to the details such as pearl bracelets as napkin rings – Melissa’s 20th anniversary of her 20th birthday was quite stunning!

The transformation involved a dazzling culinary show where the cuisine was the artwork, and the drinks were delicately crafted as well. Upon their grand entrance, guests were welcomed with champagne, in addition to a full bar featuring our Dragon Berry Mojito – a stunning concoction of fresh fruit & Dragon Berry rum garnished with fresh fruit. Every piece of the show was well executed to perfection from the butler passed d’oeuvres to The Cake Makers Mark dessert.

Once the culinary show had simmered down, after dinner snacks were passed to add to the next big hit of the night – the entertainment, featuring the birthday gal’s favorite things. Tables of fun items, nightclub lighting, and a DJ spinning the music set the mood for a glamorous evening. There’s no doubt that MD 20/20 was an award winning celebration!

Real Events | Madison's Black & White Birthday Bash | Heaven Events Center

Today’s featured event is not just a birthday party, it’s Madison’s one-of-kind Black & White Birthday Bash at Heaven Events Center! This club inspired shindig was decked to the nines with black, white, hot pink and zebra print…everthing! From the lux pink carpet and bouncer greeting her guests, exciting uplighting bouncing off the walls, and VIP lounge furniture, each element showed off the party’s theme. Even the specialty mocktail of the night — The Hot Pink Mar’teen’i — sported the birthday girl’s favorite colors!

Choreographed dancers filled the dance floor, while a t-shirt artist passed out custom t-shirts and kids feasted on ice cream from Coldstone Creamery. Puff ‘n Stuff Catering provided delicious food that everyone could enjoy including the kids! Featuring “s’mores indoors” and even a create-your-own-nacho bar, this celebration truly had everything a birthday girl could ask for!

Real Events | Tampa Bay Watch Showcase

In early April, we had the opportunity to team up with Tampa Bay Watch to host a showcase at their picturesque beachfront venue! Located at 3000 Pinellas Bayway South in Tierra Verde (near Tampa, FL), Tampa Bay Watch is a non-profit organization that trains and organizes community members to participate in environmental projects and educates the community about the fragility and importance of the environment. Perfect for those seeking a breathtaking outdoor venue or indoor event space with a beautiful view, the venue also offers guests engaging indoor aquariums and welcoming oceanfront style.

Real Events | Chen Wedding | Downtown Tampa

Today’s featured event is a small, elegant wedding that took place in early January. The ceremony was held on the rooftop terrace at 220 West 7th in downtown Tampa as the couple and their guests overlooked a scenic waterfront vista. The romantic, chandelier-lit reception was held in a raw space on the building’s ground floor, which was opened specially for the couple’s wedding day. Their reception is quite unique – it was the first and will be the only to take place in the space. Once finished, it will be a private, commercial office. Puff ‘n Stuff Catering Special Event Planner, Aymee Brace, helped the bride find this unique space, and several vendors helped create a romantic ambiance in this edgy, industrial venue.

The “icing on the cake” of the menu was our reproduction of the bride’s favorite dish, Shanghai Style Grouper, from local restaurant, Mitchell’s Fish Market. The restaurant shared the recipe with our Chef and he produced the meal with our interpretation of the side dishes.

Hors d’Oeuvres

  • Maryland Crab Cake Towers – pan seared and served with a Cajun rémoulade
  • Mini Angus Cheeseburgers – served with tomato, pickle & mustard and served with a mini cone of sweet potato fries
  • “Soup & Sandwich” Bianco Panini – with mozzarella, sweet onion, fresh tomatoes, arugula, Gorgonzola, and e.v.o.o. grilled on focaccia and served with a tomato‑basil soup shooter

Chef Bars

  • Grouper Shanghai Style –  on a bed of white rice and spinach steamed with ginger infusion
  • Oak Grilled Vegetable Display – eggplant, summer squash, zucchini, asparagus, purple onion, Portobellos, bell peppers, artichoke hearts and other seasonal vegetables rubbed with balsamic and olive oil, then grilled over an oak fire served with a sunshine aioli dip
  • Mashed Potato Bar – with creamy Yukon gold mashed, garlic smashed, red skins, and sweet potatoes topped and baked with pecans and marshmallows,  presented in Cosmo glasses and offered with a variety of toppings including crisp applewood smoked bacon, sour cream, caramelized Vidalia onions, cheddar cheese, marshmallows, whipped butter, chives, and cinnamon sugar dust
  • Bowtie Pasta – with marinara or alfredo sauce and guest’s choice of applewood‑smoked bacon, crispy  fried onions, wild mushrooms or shaved Parmesan cheese
  • Lobster Mac ‘n Cheese – fresh Grana Padano cheese with lobster, prosciutto, petit pois, garnished with fried basil and a coral cheddar tuile accompanied with a small caesar salad served in a specialty glass with a focaccia breadstick

To conclude the evening, the couple wanted to leave the guests in awe with our decadent dessert displays:

 

  • Chef Attended Traditional Bananas Foster Flambé– warm butter & rum sautéed bananas served over vanilla bean ice cream with a cinnamon crisp

 

  • Gourmet Petite Desserts– including strawberry Frangipane cream tarts, chocolate cups filled with raspberry and chocolate mousse, chocolate pecan pies,  chocolate éclairs, profiteroles, fruit tarts, sacher tortes, chocolate truffles, mocha cakes, French hazelnut cake, chocolate truffles, coconut macaroons covered in Dark Chocolate, cream horns, chocolate‑dipped strawberries and chocolate‑dipped cheesecake lollipops coated with crunchy ground pistachio

December is always a busy month at Puff ‘n Stuff Catering, and we love having the opportunity to cater holiday parties of all styles and sizes. One event in particular stood out as an incredibly successful and non-traditional style party – the Tampa Bay NACE (National Association of Catering Executives) December event.

The evening was a fun showcase with everything, from the cuisine and drinks to entertainment and photography, provided by local NACE members. As described in the January NACE Newsletter, the evening was a hit! “In true Tampa Bay NACE style, T Pepin’s Hospitality Centre was transformed into “ClubNACE” – a makeshift dance club complete with “bouncers” at the door, VIP wristbands, and roaming cocktail waitresses offering a progressive signature cocktail service beginning with champagne shooters with mint marshmallows.

Puff ‘n Stuff Catering provided both butler-passed and demonstration style, chef-attended hors d’oeuvres including duck ropa vieja wontons and lobster beignets.  In addition to the open bar, guests enjoyed five different signature drinks – one served every 45 minutes – throughout the nigh
