Real Weddings | Karina + VJ | The Salvador Dali Museum

The first thing that comes to mind with Karina + VJ is WOW! They’re a match made in heaven who knew how to wed in style! Their color scheme of eggplant and burnt orange popped so perfectly at The Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg- it really was a stunning affair. They met with their personal Puff ‘n Stuff Catering Special Event Planner, Lauren Balden, to handcraft a menu that would showcase their style and personality; and boy did they knock it out of the park! With delicious items such as mini waffles topped with hazelnut butter and pecan crusted chicken drizzled with old fashion syrup to Jumbo Prawns stuffed with fresh lump crab meat & finished with lime buerre blanc guests were raving all night long. Today we are featuring Christine and Scott’s wedding held at The Palmetto Club. The couple’s elegant style and decor was a perfect fit for The Palmetto Club’s beautifully manicured gardens and gorgeous ballroom. From start to finish, their special day was impeccable!

Great weddings are all about thoughtful details that show the couple’s personality and their care for their guests. Christine and Scott surprised their guests by replacing traditional centerpieces with beautiful and differently flavored cakes. Their guests couldn’t wait to find out what flavor was at their table. Before the “big reveal,” guests made their way to the delicious buffet that Christine and Scott, with the help from our Special Event Planner Aymee Brace, hand-selected for their family and friends to indulge in. Another special element that we loved about this wedding is the way Christine and Scott integrated their children into the wedding ceremony; it was the perfect start for their new lives together. Christine and Scott’s wedding was stunning, and we’re so happy to have been a part of their special day!

Real Weddings | Traci + Bo | The Lange Farm

Today we are featuring Traci + Bo’s elegant southern wedding held at the Lange Farm in Dade City, Florida.  The Garden House at the Lange Farm offers picturesque rolling hills, acres of majestic oak trees, and a Garden House complete with a wrap-around porch, beautiful French doors, chandeliers, and an antique gazebo all working in concert to set the essence of true love and old fashioned romance.

When Traci and Bo’s family and friends arrived, they we’re greeted with tasty passed hors d’oeuvres including Asian beef sates seared with Thai spices & served with a scallion dipping sauce, bacon wrapped potato tots, spinach bouchees, and Key West conch fritters accompanied by a Cajon remoulade. Friends and family enjoyed the beauty of the Lange Farm, and shared the joy of Traci and Bo’s celebration. As guests found their escort cards and seats, they were welcomed to indulge in the much anticipated plated dinner featuring Puff ‘n Stuff Catering’s Champagne Chicken & Grilled Steaks accompanied by garlic smashed potatoes and fresh seasonal vegetables. After dinner, Traci and Bo cut the cake, and basked in the sunset glow of their wedding day. Gorgeous from start to finish, Traci and Bo’s special day was flawless, and the perfect start to their new lives together.

We love partyin’ with the Best! Last month, Puff ‘n Stuff Catering had the opportunity to take part in AFR Furniture Rental’s Annual Showcase, “History in the Making,” at the Orange County Regional History Center.

Each year, this stylin’ shindig transforms a popular venue with over-the-top event furniture and décor, and of course themed cuisine and drinks. We were honored to be a featured caterer and take part in the fun!

The History Center was completely decked out from the third floor courtroom to the Heritage Square Courtyard, and AFR’s latest and greatest created a unique theme in each space. Heritage Square and the first floor atrium rocked red carpet glamour, while the second floor was a time machine to the 80’s. And Puff ‘n Stuff Catering hosted guests in the third floor’s “Roaring 20’s” Courtroom, giving our team a chance to show off their flapper style! Guests enjoyed elegant Tuna ‘Tini’s as they were transported back to our 1920’s speak-easy, and we loved every moment of it too.

For today’s real event, we’re featuring a prehistoric wedding! Taking place in the Orlando Science Center’s “Dino Digs” exhibit, Kimberly and Akash celebrated their wedding surrounded by the ancient rulers of our planet.

With the cocktail hour situated on the OSC’s outdoor terrace overlooking the beautiful downtown Orlando skyline, guests enjoyed drinks and Puff ‘n Stuff Catering’s Jurassic creations! Once inside the Dino Digs exhibit filled with larger-than-life prehistoric creatures, Kimberly and Akash’s guests were served a delicious dinner that could literally make you say Bone-appetit! Real Events | "The Big G.O." | Anglo Couture | Paper Presence

Its time to showcase another real client event! Today we are sharing images from the Anglo Couture and Paper Presence Grand Opening – “The Big G.O.” –  on January 11, 2011. This event was an opportunity for local wedding industry pros to celebrate the opening of St. Petersburg’s newest couture bridal gown and custom stationery designers’ showrooms, which are located at 689 Central Ave. The atmosphere and décor were fun and creative, and the food was themed as a dressed up version of “everyday comfort foods.” The showroom was adorned with beautiful Anglo Couture gowns, and the fun invites, signage and menu cards were provided by Paper Presence. Approximately 80 guests and fellow vendors attended the evening hosted by proprietors, Vicky Anglo of Anglo Couture and Andrea McMahon of Paper Presence.

The menu for the evening featured delicious Butler Passed Hors d’Oeuvres such as our

  • “Soup and Sandwich” Bianco Panini with Mozzarella, sweet onion, fresh tomatoes, arugula, Gorgonzola, and e.v.o.o. grilled on focaccia and served with a tomato-basil soup shooter.
  • Lollipop Trio with Goat cheese & mascarpone with sun-dried tomatoes, coated in pistachios; Saga blue & grape covered in walnuts; port wine cheddar rolled in toasted almonds.
  • Fresh Fruit Brochettes with pineapple, cantaloupe, honeydew & strawberries presented on bamboo skewers, served with mango citrus dipping sauce.
  • Miniature Beef Wellington puff pastries filled with beef tenderloin and wild mushrooms, with Bearnaise sauce.
  • Wine-Poaches Chicken Cornet with applewood-smoked bacon crème fraiche in a savory cornet.
  • Arugula Pesto Crostini with Gorgonzola and chopped Walnuts.

Puff ‘n Stuff Catering also provided a Donut Holes Dessert Bar. The donut holes were filled with  decadent homemade glaze and powder served with an assortment of toppings to include: Belgium milk chocolate fondue, spiked caramel sauce, peanut butter sauce, chopped nuts, colorful candy sprinkles, berry compote, shredded coconut, Oreo and heath bar crumbles.

The event was a great success and we were thrilled to be there for the party! Nothing is more rewarding for our team than the sighs of happy clients at the end of fun evening. The ladies of Anglo Couture and Paper Presence thanked all of the participating vendors by saying, “It was an amazing evening thanks to our vendors. Everyone enjoyed the great food, drinks and company. I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate this milestone, but with my peers and friends. We were eating the donut holes all night!”
