A Hole-in-One ‘Fore’ the Books
With LPGA Pros and guests in attendance at the inaugural Ginn OPEN Pro-Am Golf Tournament at Reunion Resort, tournament sponsor Puff ’n Stuff Catering transformed a 20,000-square-foot tented space into a non-traditional golfer’s paradise. Chihuly sculpture and sketches adorned the walls. Silky blue linens and flowers dressed numerous vignettes and food stations, creating a warm, water-like environment, while the 500-plus guests chose from a plethora of passed hors d’oeuvres and signature martinis. Five stylized stations—offering roasted rack of lamb, sushi and sashimi, artisanal cheeses, house-made porcini ravioli, arugula, chevre & ricotta pasta pillows, and various desserts—were each manned with a chef to custom-create plates and offer culinary insight. There was even an edible golf vignette, consisting of a wheat grass course, dotted chocolate golf tees and white chocolate truffle golf balls.
The subtle décor, expert execution of dishes, conscientious servers, and acute attention to detail by Puff ’n Stuff Catering made the Pro-Am Pairing Party an uncontested hole-in-one.
Real Estate. Unreal Service.
Quail West, a chic and upscale real estate priority selection event for over 1,200 guests, presented Puff ’n Stuff Catering with many challenges—challenges that were met head-on, in classic Puff ’n Stuff-style. With pre-event activities lasting almost a week, food and equipment had to be transported daily to a venue in Naples, FL…over four hours away from “home base.” Not a problem with a fleet of temperature-controlled delivery trucks. Puff ’n Stuff Catering also provided supplies such as tables, chairs, linen, food, floral and staffing. Each day the team flawlessly transitioned from breakfast to lunch—in the same room—while providing and maintaining a delightful, all-day buffet. In the end, Puff ’n Stuff Catering both fulfilled Quail West’s requirement for “all aspects very high-end,” and demonstrated a penchant for good partnering by working with their future chefs and featuring their wares as well.
